Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Elokin is a macOS voice dictation application published by NBCH Tech. We do not operate an account system, advertising network, or analytics service inside the app, and we do not sell personal information.

2. Local voice processing

By default, audio recording and speech recognition are processed locally on your compatible Mac. Audio used for transcription is not uploaded to Elokin. Built-in Raw, Polished, Concise, and Translate workflows can run using local models.

3. Optional cloud providers

You may configure third-party providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, or an OpenAI-compatible service, for custom profiles. When you use such a profile, the relevant transcript and instructions are sent directly to the provider you selected. That provider processes the data under its own privacy policy and terms. Elokin does not proxy these requests.

4. Information stored on your Mac

• App preferences, selected profiles, shortcuts, and model settings.
• Downloaded machine-learning model files.
• API credentials stored using the macOS Keychain.
• Transcription history only if you enable history; it is disabled by default.

You can delete downloaded models and local history from the app, or remove the app and its local data through macOS.

5. Permissions

Elokin may request microphone access to record dictation and Accessibility access to place the resulting text into the active application. macOS controls these permissions, and you can revoke them at any time in System Settings. Clipboard access may be used locally as part of the paste workflow.

6. Model downloads

Optional model files are downloaded from third-party model hosting services, such as Hugging Face. Those services may receive standard network information, including your IP address, when a download is requested. Their own policies apply.

7. Retention and security

Because Elokin does not receive your local recordings or transcripts, we do not retain them on our servers. Local data remains under your macOS account. No storage system is perfectly secure; keep macOS and Elokin up to date and protect access to your Mac.

8. Children

Elokin is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes and contact
