First setup
Follow the onboarding flow to grant Microphone and Accessibility permissions, then download a local speech model.

Get Elokin listening, transcribing, and preparing text that is ready to paste.
Start dictating
Hold your configured shortcut, speak, and release. Elokin transcribes the recording and copies the result.
Choose a profile
Raw returns the transcript. Polished, Concise, and Translate transform it locally before the result is copied.
System requirements
Elokin requires macOS 14 or later and a Mac with Apple silicon. Local models also need available disk space.
Accessibility stays unavailable
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility and enable Elokin. If macOS still shows the previous state, remove Elokin from the list, add the installed app again, and reopen it.
The microphone does not start
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and enable Elokin. If it is absent, launch Elokin and request access again from onboarding or Settings.
A model will not download
Check your internet connection and available disk space, then retry from model settings. Network filtering, VPNs, or temporary model-host availability can interrupt downloads.
The result is not available to paste
Wait for the transcription overlay to finish, then paste with Command-V. Elokin copies the result to the clipboard but does not paste it automatically.
Cloud profiles
Custom cloud profiles need a valid endpoint, model name, and API key for the selected provider. Built-in profiles remain local and do not require a cloud account.
